Booking a destination wedding photographer is one of the most stressful parts of the wedding. It's also one of the most expensive investments you will make during the wedding process!

  • Finding someone you can trust!

  • Make sure you money is safe

  • Create something unique and special just for you

  • Capture the emotion of the day

  • Tell your love story on the wedding day

After all that, you need to consider that your photographer is going to have the biggest impact on your wedding day. They will be beside you from beginning to end so you need to get it right!

Deciding to use Lincoln and MTM Photography as the artist to capture the spirit of our wedding was the BEST thing we did.

Lincoln went above and beyond making sure we knew exactly which services we would be receiving.  Who would be at the wedding and so glad Lincoln was there!!! Most importantly, that we felt comfortable throughout the whole day. The strong communication stayed past our wedding day. Lincoln checked in often providing several proofs, updates on processing dates. My wife and I honestly feel as if we've gained a friend. Everyone who has seen our photos has kind words to say and comment on the authenticity and realism on film.

My wife surprised me with a "trash the dress" shoot before the wedding. Which allowed us to get to know Lincoln and his unique style before hand. The smiles and laughter in the photos are 100% genuine. The beautiful photos capture a truly unforgettable experience.

Lincoln did a amazing job coming through for me in the clutch. I had planned a sunrise surprise proposal at The Royal Playa del Carmen.

My original photographer had gone silent the day before. We were to leave on our trip to the Mexican Caribbean and I was left hanging! I did some research on yelp to find destination wedding photographers. Lincoln had great reviews! I emailed and reached out to him. He consistently responded and made himself available.

If you haven’t been to Riviera Maya before and need someone you can rely on, Lincoln is your man. Thanks for coming through and saving my trip and surprise! You made our love story something my fiancé and I will always remember.

By the way, you need to get up at 6am if you want to catch a beach sunrise in Playa. Otherwise, you can catch a sunset if you take a ferry over to Cozumel. Also, Isla Mujeres if you in the in Cancun area!

ps: The sunrise and sunset are the same amazing golden light!

Highly recommended! Planning a wedding in Mexico all the way from Canada can be stressful at times. You are never really sure what you will get.

Photography is an extremely important part of a wedding and we knew right from the start that. If we left the photography in the hands of Lincoln, we would not have to worry! The photos online were so impressive and were exactly what we wanted from our big day.

We emailed Lincoln and he was extremely easy to communicate with. He was always honest and upfront on everything we weren’t sure about. Lincoln and Silvina showed up on our wedding day and made it a great experience for all of us! They are the loveliest photographers and make an amazing team!

Running non-stop, they were able to capture unique and special memories of our day.  The photos are beautiful and amazing! We are so incredibly happy that we had Lincoln and Silvina capture the photography for our love story.

Thank you so much MTM for your amazing work. We will be looking at our wedding photos for years to come!!

WHAT IS PHOTOGRAPHY TO ME?

Photography to me is the ability to slow down time, and freeze it! To live in the NOW... because the moments are all around us. That split second look into your eyes. The moment right before a kiss just before your lips touch. Capturing the beauty for the first time that radiates between a just married couple.

Consider me your personal fashion photographer! You may not be a model, or maybe you are! You don't have to worry about any of that. I will help guide you when the time comes. I'll be there from beginning to end always looking for those special moments. Even when you don't realize I am!

I have trained dozens of photographers over the years. Many you may be in contact with as well getting package information. It's so hard to find the right people to work with. I try to teach photographers that the moments are all around you. They are happening all the time. You can't just see it, and then capture it with your camera. You need to be taking pictures constantly to get those special moments! I often personally take up to a 1000 images/hr. That means I'm taking a picture almost every 4 seconds. Why? Because I love capturing those special moments as they happen. Before they are gone forever. You only get one chance!

HAVING A SYMBOLIC WEDDING?

Almost half of the weddings I capture are Symbolic Weddings! It's a great way to make things easy and not have to go through all the Mexican legal paperwork. At some point, plan to do the legal stuff at home to make it official. :-)

That being said, let me give you the best advice to make the magic happen!

You will probably be celebrating your destination wedding date as your official date. So, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT get legally married before you come to Mexico!

Why you aks? I can tell you this after capturing hundreds of symbolic weddings. There is something missing when the couple has been married. Even if its just legally, beforehand at home. You cross a line in your mind when you say "I DO". Even if it's just in front of a judge with a family member or 2 at your side to witness it.

Since it really doesn't matter when you get legally married, save that one special moment. When you look into each others eyes for the first time and say those words! It makes it all that more special and memorable. Standing on the beach in Mexico and becoming husband and wife. That is the moment you become one and your adventure begins!

Save the unromantic legal stuff for when you get back. Trust me on this!!!

How does a typical wedding day unfold?

There is no such thing as a typical wedding day! That being said, we will be sending you a Wedding Planner worksheet after booking us to help you organize and line up your day. Here is how we recommend your wedding day flows. Remember, this is just a sample of 4hrs of wedding coverage

Assuming a 5pm Ceremony time and 7pm Sunset time:

3pm – Guys/Girls getting ready (MTM photographers split up to cover both at the same time)
5pm – Ceremony (Both MTM photographers work together to capture your ceremony at the same time)
5:30pm  – Family Formals and Wedding Party Groups
6pm – Newlyweds (plan to capture the newlyweds for 1 hour. Hopefully we will be shooting 1hr to 1.5hrs before the sunset!!!)
Newlyweds often plan the cocktail hour for their guests while we shoot the newlywed images
7pm – Arrive at your reception. We arrive a few minutes early to capture the reception site and details, do a cake cutting and first dance.

8pm - Reception Party & Dancing. Garter & flower toss. Drinks & Celebrations on the beach!

That is how we recommend a wedding day unfolds. Again, you can add more or less time to your story to accommodate your needs! We will work with you to make sure the day flows as you want and nothing is missed!

I can’t decide how much coverage I need for my wedding day?

First things first. Right now, if you have your date and booked your venue, your photographer should be next!

You don't need to stress about how many hours you need right now. Let's confirm the date is available to you and reserve it!

We will send you a planning worksheet to outline the day and figure out what works best for you. If we need to make changes, we can at anytime. You are not locked in to any specific package or number of hours. We are here to make cover your day the way you want it to be captured!

Do I have to buy a meal for you at the reception?

For packages that include coverage during/past your dinner reception, please be sure to include 2 photographers and/or 2 videographers in the dinner reception.

This does not have to be your reception dinner. This can include items from the room service menu. As well, we prefer to have a seat/table off to the side, so we have a place for our equipment. We will be getting up and running around to catch kissing/events/speeches/etc during the dinner!
Note: Please ask your wedding coordinator to make sure we are served right after you but before guests. That way we have time to finish eating before anything happens. Often they tend to serve us last and we have no time to eat before things start to happen.

Do you  ‘touch up’ my Wedding Photos?

Yes!!! I do all edition in house. We do not send you images away to be processed by a 3rd party as my companies do. I'm not sure why they do this since half of the creative direction of any given photo is in the personal style of editing.
I edit for exposure, white balance, composition and skin tone to start. From there we will do additional editing to remove unwanted objects or people. Fix skin blemishes and/or rogue hair when need be.

Keep in mind, not every image is supposed to be "picture perfect". When shooting candid and documentary style photos, a lot of the magic is in the imperfections.
Now when it's all said and done, if there is a photo that you would like me to edit for you, just let me know! I'll be happy to make any changes you need!

What time should I have my ceremony in order to allow enough time for pictures before the sunsets?

The ideal time is to have your reception 2hrs before the sun sets. Here in the Riviera Maya, once the sun starts to set, it happens very quickly! Less than 20 minutes, so we need to work fast during this time.

If your ceremony time does not leave enough time for photos, you do have a few options.

  1. Change the time of the ceremony.

  2.  Plan a "first look" and capture some pre-ceremony magic!

  3.  We will capture as much sun light as we can for the newlywed photos, then use creative lighting  for the rest of your couples images.

Keep in mind that Family Formals usually follow the ceremony. So you need to decide what is more important to you!

How long does it take to process our Wedding Photography Story?

Our normal processing time for each package is about 6 - 8 weeks. This time is used to edit & enhance your photos. We look though every single photograph to be sure they are  highlight their full potential. This estimate is dependent upon the amount of weddings in our schedule. In high season when can get very busy and processing time can range from 8 to 10 weeks.

We always try and deliver ASAP. If for any reason we are not able to delivery your package to you in 10 weeks we will be in contact to let you know.

Are all the photos you take on my wedding day included in my package? Will I be able to reproduce these photos? Or do you retain the ‘rights’?

In an average wedding day we capture between 3000 and 8000 images. Not all these images will be delivered in your package. We select all the best photos for your wedding story and don't hold back. All the fully edited images will be in your wedding story and slideshow.

All the files in your package are full resolution and you will have full rights to reproduce them or do whatever you like with them. You can bring them to any printer in your home town/city to do anything you choose!(printing, albums, Thank you cards, canvas prints, Facebook…. anything!)

I found another photographer in the Mayan Riviera that offers a “better package” than you do. Can you match their offer?

The most important thing for you is to find a professional photographer who’s work you love and speaks to you! There are many different photographers with prices and packages for everybody’s budget. You need to find the right one for you! We offer the best photography services for an amazing price here in the Riviera Maya.

We do offer specials and promotions from time to time that will change the price. For the most part, the price will remain the same to be fair to all our couples. That way you can be assured that you are not being taken advantage of. As well, not having second thoughts about the package and price!

Everyone has been presented with the same pricing structure! I know you would feel cheated if you paid one price and found out a week later that I gave the same package to someone else for less!
