June 28th, 2009 Barcelo Maya Palace - Kelly & Carl

Lori and I were invited to capture the wedding of Kelly & Carl at the Barcelo Maya Palace.  We really enjoyed working with these two and the family of Pharmacists!  Too bad I wasn’t feeling any aches and pains at the time I needed taken care of?!?!  Lori spent much of the day capturing Kelly and her bridesmaids before the ceremony.  Getting ready, primping and making everything just right.  I spent my afternoon with Carl and the boys who were most excited getting to the bar before the big moment!  We had a perfect perch to overlook the wedding site and the boys would call out from the balcony for guests to come join them before hand!  They had a good time and being safety conscience, nobody got hurt!

It was a beautiful day and a fantastic ceremony.  We wish we would have had more time with Kelly & Carl for our couples shoot afterward but an early dinner left us with only 10 minutes!  We made the best of the time and took around 45 minutes shuffling from place to place and capturing love at its best!  They held dinner for Kelly and Carl, but I guess they will tend to do that for you on your wedding day.

Thanks for having us out guys and please keep in touch.

June 24th, 2009 Grand Sunset Princess - Nick & Colleen

We were invited to the photograph the wedding of Nick & Colleen last week at the Grand Sunset Princess in the Mayan Riviera! When I met Nick, he walked into the room and for some reason thought he might have gotten the wrong room and was in the middle of a boudoir shoot! haha Very funny! I asked him if he wanted to strip down but he declined. The wedding was at the beach gazebo. The skies were blue, beach was hot and the couple was very much in love! They had written their own vows and I think everybody was touched. The evening festivities went of without a hitch and we really enjoy the entrance of the wedding party! There were 7 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen to escort them down. Also included were the parents of the bride and groom and every entrance had its own music for the boardwalk and beach entrance. It was very entertaining.
We love meeting you, Nick & Colleen, and hope you guys keep in touch!
Take care of each other.

June 17th, 2009 Dreams Tulum - Angie & Gary

We were invited to photograph the wedding south of Playa del Carmen at Dream Tulum for Angie and Gary! They were such a fun couple and Lori and I really enjoyed meeting the entire gang! We felt like we had been friends much longer than the hours we spent with them. Hanging out with the boys was like being one of the “Rat Pack”! With Sinatra playing while they got ready and the details they put into getting ready.  Lori spent the day with the girls and was able to capture some fantastic images of everybody preparing for the wedding. We had a lot of fun and hope you guys keep in touch. Take care!!

June 10th, 2009 Nicole & Brian at Secrets Maroma

We met Nicole & Brian at Secrets Maroma located just north of Playa del Carmen for an intimate wedding shoot. When they opened the door at their hotel, I personally was a little shocked as for some reason I was thinking that we were shooting an older couple! Why? I don’t really know, but its funny how you make things up in your mind without really knowing something. Nicole and Brian were actually married just before they came out to the Mayan Riviera and were here on their honeymoon to redo their vows to each other on the beach. This was actually their 9th year together and were originally high school sweethearts!  With just the two of them in attendance, as well as Lori and myself, it was a fantastic and intimate wedding shoot. I’m not sure if they wanted to turn the shoot into a TTD session but when asked if they wanted to go into the water, they didn’t hesitate!  They were so nice and we loved meeting you guys! Stay in touch and send us pictures from your wedding back home in Ohio.

Here are some images we captured from the day as well as a video.

June 9th, 2009 Elena & Jason at Caribe del Mar

We covered the wedding of Elena & Jason at Caribe del Mar located between Playa del Carmen and Cancun this week! I have to say they were a very spontaneous couple and full of life as you can see from their pictures! They were in a constant state of “cat and mouse” and always playing with each other in laughter. They were such fun to cover and reminds us of the reasons why we are wedding photographers.
Thank you so much for sharing that special moment with you guys!!! We will keep in touch and I want to be the first to see Jasons new movie coming out. Take care of each other and remember to call when you ready for your 5 year shoot.
